Central and Eastern European Green Summer Academy
The Green European Foundation co-organizes, for the second consecutive year, the CEE Green Summer Academy in Horány, Hungary. The Green New Deal implications for Central and Eastern European countries will be among the main topics of discussion.
The 2010 CEE Green Summer Academy is co-organized by GEF and the Hungarian NGOs Védegylet (Protect the Future) and Ökopolitikai Möhely Alapítavány (Workshop for Ecopolitcs Foundation).
The Summer Academy proposes a series of debates and workshops on a variety of topics: the current challenges of the neoliberal financial and economic system and alternative ways out, the global food crisis, the global justice movement, to mention but a few. Gender and eco-activism trainings will be mainstreamed throughout the program of the entire academy. Members of the European Parliament and experts from all over Europe will take part in the academy, thus extending the outreach of the debates beyond the CEE region.
